Facial hair of all kinds were on display at Indigo Joe's in Wildwood on February 27th, as the first ever Mustache Madness raised over $1,000 for Friends of Kids with Cancer. The event was held in honor of 10 year-old Dylan Wind, a current patient at the Cardinals Kids Cancer Center at St. John's Mercy Medical Center. He recently appeared as a model in the Friends of Kids with Cancer Fashion Show!
The event was designed as a contest, as participants took pledges for their growing efforts. That night awards were given out for the Longest Stache, Biggest Stache, Best Peach Fuzz Stache and Best Female Costume with a Stache, among others. The group also raised money through a raffle, and patrons of Indigo Joe's contributed through their orders- a percentage of each bill also went to Friends.
We would like to thank Jeff and Jeanine Wiess, Sandy Furlow and Todd Furlow for all their hard work in putting this event together. Also a special thanks to Dylan Wind and his family for being a part of this wonderful event.
