This is a specific division of the special assistance program which caters to the needs of children who are submitted to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. What makes this section so important is that the child must undergo complete isolation during his/her time there, which could be anywhere from a few days to weeks on end. Everything that goes into this Unit must be purchased brand new and sterilized due to the child's condition. Friends provides this program to fulfill those needs and provide the kids and their families with entertainment and support during this especially difficult period of treatment.
